Pete davidson’s Girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, Opens Up About pregnancy Following Endometriosis Diagnosis
Los angeles, CA – Actress Elsie Hewitt is expecting her first child wiht comedian Pete Davidson, a pregnancy she previously feared might be impossible due to a diagnosis of endometriosis.Hewitt, 29, revealed in a new interview with People magazine, published October 2, that she received the endometriosis diagnosis in November 2024.
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, frequently enough leading to pelvic pain and, crucially, difficulty conceiving. Hewitt candidly admitted she initially believed she was infertile. “I was 100 percent convinced that I was infertile and not going to be able to have kids,” she told People.
Fortunately,Hewitt was able to undergo laparoscopic surgery to address the condition. She explained that her decision to have the procedure was driven by both symptom relief and a desire to protect her future fertility. “A big part of why I opted for the surgery was, first and foremost, my symptoms,” she said, “but second, to preserve my fertility or try to get to a place where I could sustain the chances of having a family one day.”
According to the World Health Organization, endometriosis affects millions of women globally and is a leading cause of infertility. Hewitt’s experience highlights the challenges faced by those with the condition and offers a hopeful perspective for others navigating similar struggles. while the extent of endometriosis’s impact on her fertility prior to surgery remains unkown – “I don’t know what ways [endometriosis] could have been affecting my fertility before the surgery,” she stated – Hewitt’s pregnancy is a testament to the potential for successful treatment and family building.
