Stars Shine for Hope Association at Pink October Gala, Raising €25,000
PARIS, october 15, 2025 – The Gabriel Pavilion in Paris glowed pink Tuesday evening as the Hope association hosted its fourth annual gala, drawing a constellation of French stars to support women facing cancer. The event, held as part of Pink october, raised €25,000 through donations and auctions to fund Hope’s equine and art therapy programs.
Hope, founded eight years ago by Annabel Brourhant and oncologist Nicolas Chopin, provides crucial support to women battling cancer. “A cancer is diagnosed every three minutes, it’s a scary figure. Hence the importance of screening and awareness,” explained Brourhant, herself a four-time cancer survivor, whose personal journey inspired the association’s creation. The gala showcased the growing support for Hope, attracting numerous high-profile figures committed to the cause.
Among the attendees were actress Élodie Fontan and her partner, filmmaker Philippe Lacheau, who enthusiastically contributed to the evening’s fundraising efforts. Fontan, godmother of the association as discovering Hope’s work at a musical three years ago, brought Lacheau and fellow actor Julien Arruti, along with Arruti’s wife Aurélie. The trio generously offered a unique auction lot: a day with the cast of “Marsupilami” and a walk-on role in Lacheau’s upcoming film.
Television personality Julian Bugier attended with his wife, journalist Claire Fournier, whom he met prior to his career in news broadcasting. They auctioned off a behind-the-scenes experience at France 2 television news.Artist Richard Orlinski, a sponsor of Hope, also donated one of his pieces for the auction.Other coveted items included a day on the set of “A Sunday in the Country” with Frédéric Lopez, a weightless flight, and a dinner with football legends Michel Platini and Jean-Pierre Papin – secured by Brourhant through a chance encounter on a train.
The gala dinner was attended by Thierry Lhermitte, Laurent Baffie, and Anne Roumanoff, adding further star power to the event. The Hope association continues to expand its reach, providing vital resources and support to women navigating the challenges of cancer.
