Marquette Soccer Standout Elise Krone Named October ‘Blue & Gold’ Student-Athlete
Milwaukee – Marquette University women’s soccer goalkeeper Elise Krone has been recognized as the October ‘Blue & Gold’ Student-Athlete, the athletics department announced today. The honor celebrates Krone’s remarkable achievements both on the field and in the classroom, embodying the commitment to academic and athletic excellence that defines Marquette’s student-athletes.
Krone maintains a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA while pursuing her studies at Marquette and has consistently earned a spot on the AD Honor Roll each semester. Beyond her academic prowess, she is actively involved in several campus organizations, including the operations and supply chain management club, the women in supply chain scholars program, and Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honor society for student-athletes.
The junior transfer from TCU has started in five games for the Golden Eagles, recording 24 saves. krone also dedicates her time to service as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and as a peer tutor in the athletics academic center. Demonstrating a commitment to giving back to the community, she volunteers as a coach at Nicolet High School and recently achieved a significant personal milestone by earning her private pilot’s license.
The ‘Blue & Gold’ student-Athlete award recognizes Marquette student-athletes for their outstanding contributions to their sport and their dedication to academic success. Previous recipients include Riley Ward (women’s track & field, September 2025), Tessa Hollander (women’s track & field, August 2025), and Danny Olsen (men’s track & field, June/July 2025).
