Veteran venezuelan Actor Eduardo Serrano Hospitalized Amid Cancer Battle
Miami, FL – eduardo Serrano, a beloved figure in Venezuelan television and cinema, has been hospitalized in Miami as he continues to battle an aggressive form of lung cancer, his daughter Magaly Serrano revealed via Instagram today. The actress shared a video from the health center detailing her father’s declining condition and the decision to admit him for more closely monitored chemotherapy.
Magaly explained that the 79-year-old actor is experiencing notable muscle loss and is currently unable to stand. “For the second chemo,I decided to have it done while he’s hospitalized so we can have more control during the treatment,” she stated in the video,expressing her concern. “Even though I want to have him at home with me, this is the best thing for him right now.”
Serrano was diagnosed weeks ago with small cell lung cancer that has metastasized to his brain. He is the product of a relationship between actress Mirtha Pérez, known for her iconic song “La Nave del Olvido” (The Ship of Forgetfulness), and Eduardo Serrano.
Magaly appealed to fans for prayers and positive messages to support her father in his fight against the disease. “The process is slow, but we continue with faith. Pray and continue to ask for him to improve and not suffer,” she said.
