East Helena Beats Havre 42-6 in Dominant Win
The East Helena Vigilantes secured a dominant 42-6 victory over the Havre Blue Ponies on Friday night at 227 Stadium, improving their record to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play, according to SWX Local Sports.
Bearek Shuman Leads East Helena Offense
After punting on their opening drive, the East Helena offense found its rhythm against the Havre defense. Bearek Shuman, the East Helena quarterback and Montana Tech commit, put the Vigilantes on the board first with a 76-yard touchdown run. Shuman continued to dazzle with both his arm and legs, following up his opening score with a touchdown strike to Parker Taylor late in the first quarter.
Early in the second quarter, Shuman broke loose for another big run to push East Helena out front 21-0. Not long after that, Shuman connected with Avery Hager on a perfectly placed deep ball to put the Vigilantes in the driver’s seat up 28-0.
Defensive Dominance Before Halftime
The Vigilantes continued to pile on pressure late in the first half when Leo Longcake intercepted a Blue Ponies pass and returned it 80 yards to the house. That explosive defensive play brought the score to 35-0 at the break, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Blue Ponies.

East Helena Faces Lewistown for Division Title
Next up for East Helena is a trip to Lewistown to take on the Golden Eagles in a matchup that will determine the Class A Central division title. Meanwhile, Havre drops to a 2-5 overall and 2-2 conference record, leaving the Blue Ponies to look toward keeping their playoff hopes alive against Laurel next week.
