Double Homicide Investigation Launched in East Austin

AUSTIN, Texas – Authorities have initiated a double homicide investigation following the discovery of two deceased individuals inside an East Austin residence on Tuesday afternoon. The grim scene was uncovered by a delivery driver who alerted police after noticing the home’s door ajar.
Austin police officers were dispatched to the Pennsylvania Avenue and Chicon Street location around 4:12 p.m. The delivery driver reported being able to see what appeared to be two deceased persons through the open doorway. Austin-Travis County EMS arrived on the scene and confirmed the presence of two Caucasian adults who had sustained obvious trauma.
Both victims were pronounced dead at 4:29 p.m. Investigators are actively working to establish the relationship between the two deceased individuals.This incident marks austin’s 35th homicide of the year.
Police are treating this as an isolated event, assuring the public that there is no current threat. The investigation into this East Austin homicide remains active and ongoing.
