Early Stage Accelerator Association Hosts 9th Compliance Officer Training Program
The Initial Investment Accelerator Association announced it will host the 9th Compliance Officer Training Course for Start-up Incubators from November 23 to 24 at the Seoul Startup Hub M-Plus Community Hall in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, according to etnews.com. The two-day, eight-hour program addresses internal controls, investment ethics, and relevant regulations for current and prospective compliance officers.
Legal Specialists Instruct Attendees on Regulatory Requirements
The curriculum brings in four legal and accounting specialists to instruct attendees on regulatory requirements. Ryu Kwon-young, an attorney at Law Firm Yihu, will cover the background of the revised compliance officer system for start-up incubators, implementation forecasts, and specific rules governing personal investment associations and venture investment associations. Min Bo-mi, representing Min Bo-mi Law Office, will present practical inspection items derived from past regulatory violations. Those items include breaches of investment obligations, transactions involving executives or related parties, and failures in establishing conflict-of-interest prevention systems.
Accounting Standards and Venture Studio Guidelines
The second day shifts focus toward financial reporting and tax considerations. Seo Hae-seok, a certified public accountant at Daehae Accounting Office, will instruct participants on accounting standards, audits, and income deduction issues specific to start-up incubators. An Hee-chul, managing attorney at Law Firm DLG, will outline guidelines for venture studios and company building, conflict management, standard investment contract compliance guidelines, and administrative appeal procedures for regulatory sanctions.
An association representative stated that establishing a transparent and sound investment environment remains essential for the sustainable growth of the early-stage investment ecosystem, etnews.com reported. Registration for the training remains open through November 10 for industry professionals, current compliance officers, and prospective candidates.
