Dying Light: The Beast Players Report Disorientation Issues; Techland Acknowledges and Promises Fix
WARSAW, POLAND – September 22, 2024 – Players of Dying Light: The Beast are reporting issues with visual clarity, including disorientation, appearing to “blindness” and a sensation of being “wet,” especially during nighttime gameplay when more aggressive monster varieties emerge. Techland has acknowledged the problems and announced a fix is planned for early next week.
The issues, impacting players on PC, PS4, PS5, XONE, and XSX/S, have surfaced shortly after the game’s launch and reached a peak concurrent player count of over 115,000 on Steam – a strong result, though below the nearly 275,000 simultaneous players achieved by Dying Light 2.techland has temporarily suggested players restart the game as a potential workaround while they develop a permanent solution.
As a gesture of goodwill, Techland has delayed the release of the “Apex Car” skin but will instead gift players the “Hellhound Shotgun” for playing four hours during the premiere weekend. The company confirmed its awareness of the issues via announcements on both Steam and its official channels.
