Drilla Moloney will remain with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) through at least February 2027, the wrestler confirmed following the “New Beginning In Osaka” event on February 11, 2026. The agreement comes as several other international wrestlers have recently navigated expiring contracts with the Japanese promotion.
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Moloney received offers from multiple American wrestling companies but opted to re-sign with NJPW. Sapp reported the new contract was finalized in the week leading up to the Osaka event and is considered a “extremely favorable” deal for the Englishman.
Moloney wrestles as part of the War Dragons tag team with Shingo Takagi. The duo secured a victory over the United Empire’s Great-O-Khan and HENARE at “The New Beginning In Osaka.” Both Moloney and Takagi will continue to be affiliated with the Unbound Co. Stable, founded by Yota Tsuji.
The Osaka event similarly marked a period of significant change for Unbound Co. And NJPW as a whole. Hiromu Takahashi wrestled his final match for the promotion, having announced his departure in the days prior. David Finlay also appeared to bid farewell to the NJPW fanbase following a loss to Callum Newman, with speculation suggesting a potential move to WWE. Clark Connors was absent from the Osaka show, competing on “AEW Dynamite” amid reports he has signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling. It remains unclear whether a potential AEW contract will preclude Connors from continuing to function with NJPW.
