David Beckham pushed his wife Victoria In tears as he gave an emotional speech at his 50th birthday celebrations, the retired footballer, 48, was joined by fashion designer Victoria and their children at Oswald’s Private Members Club in London’s Mayfair, for a lavish £250,000 bash.
Victoria’s former Spice Girls bandmate Mel B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Horner, as well as 100 other guests including Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, her partner Jason Statham, Salma Hayek, Tana and Gordon Ramsay, also present.
David proposed to his “role model” partner, Victoria, and the fashion designer was delighted when her husband delivered some touching words: “David told the audience at the party how Victoria has always been a a great encouragement to him. ” saying that she is an “amazing role model and an amazing mother.” The children also gave speeches in which they talked about “how grateful they were for everything you did for him for them,” according to the British Daily Mail website.
Victoria’s guests dined on steak and shared plates of Italian food, while drinking £500 bottles of champagne.
Elsewhere, it seems Tom Cruise wasn’t shy when it came to showing off his athletic dance moves, and at the end of the ceremony, Beckham had to carry his wife on his back, with that she suffers from a leg injury and spends part of the ceremony standing on a crutch.
