Hidden brook Farm Celebrates Success with Promising Bloodlines
tranche, a promising colt by Collected, demonstrated his talent by winning the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Futurity at Santa Anita Park. This victory highlights the continued success of the mare Gal of Mine, whose progeny have consistently shown remarkable ability across various racing surfaces.
Sergio de Sousa of Hidden Brook Farm commented on Gal of Mine’s impressive record, noting that out of her 12 foals,11 have started and 10 have achieved wins. “The family is just runners,” de Sousa stated, emphasizing the mare’s ability to pass on important talent to her offspring. He also highlighted Theory of Change, another offspring of Gal of Mine, describing her as a “beautiful horse” with a strong future. Theory of Change is expected to have a notable Maxfield colt selling in Book 1 of the September sales, and Hidden Brook Farm also has a promising weanling filly by Cody’s Wish from the same lineage.
The farm’s commitment to nurturing these bloodlines is evident in the return of both Theory of Change and My Gal Betty to the farm as broodmares. “We liked theory of Change and My Gal Betty as foals, and they are both back at the farm today as broodmares, Theory of Change in the same barn where she grew up,” de Sousa shared. “It’s awesome to have them here. The horses keep people talking about us.”
