Doosan Claims First Season Victory, Led by Kim Yeon-bin’s 7 Goals and Kim Shin-hak’s 11 Saves
CHEONAN, SOUTH KOREA – Doosan secured its first win of the season, defeating the Chungnam Provincial Office in a decisive match showcasing a comprehensive offensive strategy and stellar goalkeeping. kim Yeon-bin led the scoring with seven goals, while goalkeeper Kim Shin-hak recorded 11 saves, proving instrumental in the victory.
the game highlighted doosan’s “all of offense,” emphasizing not only scoring but also precise passing and rapid positioning, according to coach Yoon Kyung-shin. “It was difficult in the beginning with two consecutive losses, but the players did it without wavering,” he stated, adding, “I will not be satisfied with this and will go further.”
Kim Shin-hak’s performance was notably crucial, thwarting numerous Chungnam attacks throughout the match, including a key sequence during a two-minute red card disadvantage for doosan.Lee Seong-min and Lee Han-sol each contributed five goals, sealing the win as directed by Coach Yoon.
Despite strong individual performances from Chungnam’s Park Seong-han (7 goals), kim Dong-jun (5 goals), and Yook Tae-kyung (4 goals), the team struggled with ball possession and missed opportunities during counterattacks. Chungnam goalkeeper Kim Hee-su made 10 saves, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the team’s offensive and defensive shortcomings.
Kim Shin-hak achieved a save percentage of 40.74% during the match. The victory marks a turning point for Doosan after initial setbacks this season.
