República Dominicana climbed from tenth to eighth place in the WBSC men’s baseball world ranking, accumulating 2,737 points according to an October 8, 2026 update. The jump of two spots marked the largest ascent among the top ten teams in the global classification, driven by a silver medal performance at the 2026 U-15 Baseball World Cup.
Dominican Team Ranks Fifth in Americas
The national team generated 1,369 points across 2026 alone, placing third in single-year point accumulation among the top twelve ranked global squads. Behind those totals sat Venezuela with 1,354 points, Chinese Taipei with 1,140, and South Korea with 1,043 for the calendar year.
Within the Americas, the Dominican team sits fifth. United States, Venezuela, Mexico, and Puerto Rico hold the top four regional slots.
