Dhanbad‘s Asit Sahai earns Official Tennis Judge Certification, Marking a Historic First
Dhanbad, Jharkhand – in a meaningful progress for the region’s tennis community, Asit Sahai of Dhanbad has successfully completed a rigorous certification course, becoming an officially recognized tennis judge. The achievement marks a pioneering moment for Dhanbad in the sport.
Sahai was among 20 participants nationwide to pass the certification course, which was conducted as part of a technical seminar in Ranchi. The event, organized under the auspices of the International Tennis Federation and the Indian Tennis Federation, took place on July 26th and 27th at the Ranchi Gymkhana Club, hosted by the Jharkhand Tennis Association.
The seminar was led by senior umpire Abhishek Mukherjee, a seasoned official with extensive experience in major tennis tournaments, including over 50 Grand Slams. upon completion of the intensive two-day program,Sahai was presented with his certificate by Jharkhand Tennis Association President KK Singh and General Secretary Vikash Hirani.
Sahai, who has dedicated three decades to the sport of tennis, received widespread congratulations for his accomplishment. Notable figures from the local sports administration, including District Olympic Association President SM Hashmi, General Secretary Ranjit Keshari, District Tennis Association Secretary (Administrative) Rohit Lala, Dr. Rajinikanth Sinha, santosh Singh, Anil Singh, Kanchan Singh, Mahadev Singh, Harshit Aggarwal, and Sharmila Sinha, extended their best wishes.
