Hyderabad Dentist Battles for Survival following Alleged Negligence, Doctor booked
Hyderabad, India – 2024/02/29 – A dentist is fighting for his life in a Hyderabad hospital after what his family alleges was criminal medical negligence during a routine dental procedure. Family members report that Dr.Raghuveer began experiencing severe complications shortly after the procedure, rapidly deteriorating and requiring immediate hospitalization. Authorities state the complaint alleges improper administration of anesthesia and subsequent mismanagement of the resulting complications. The Jubilee Hills Police confirmed they have booked the dentist,Dr. S. Kumar, under Section 308 of the Indian Penal Code (attempt to culpable homicide), following a complaint filed by Dr. Raghuveer’s brother, Anand. “We are currently gathering evidence, including medical records and statements from witnesses, to ascertain the facts of the case,” stated inspector V. Ramesh. “Dr. Kumar has been asked to cooperate with the investigation.”
Dr. Raghuveer is currently on ventilator support at Apollo Hospitals, where doctors describe his condition as critical but stable. A medical bulletin released by the hospital on 2024/02/29 indicated that he is being closely monitored for neurological complications.
