Densus 88 operatives carried out coordinated searches and arrests in West Java, Central Java, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Riau, and North Maluku. According to Densus 88 spokesperson Senior Commissioner Mayndra Eka Wardhana, the suspects engaged in network consolidation, physical training, and propaganda dissemination.
Investigators identified a distinct operating pattern involving virtual meetings to connect supporters across different regions. The raids yielded evidence of physical training, shooting drills, and militant recruitment drives conducted both in-person and through social media channels.
Police have formally named 11 suspects in the ongoing terrorism investigation: HN, 43; SM alias NM, 52; HA, 45; YDKAP, 22; Y, 36; S, 49; A, 32; CG, 29; MF, 37; AF, 26; and MW, 42. Officers are currently examining seized digital evidence and questioning witnesses under standard operating procedures to detect and prevent potential attacks.
The Arrest in Surakarta City
One of the detained suspects, 22-year-old YDKAP, was taken into custody in Jebres District, Surakarta City, late Thursday, October 1, 2026. Family members discovered the arrest on Friday morning when police delivered the official warrant.
Endro Sudarsono, speaking as a representative for the suspect’s family, stated that YDK had been unreachable since Thursday morning after collecting his workplace salary. The family reported receiving no prior explanation regarding the circumstances of the detention, the specific allegations, or whether any victims were involved.
The family expressed concern over YDK’s well-being during the ongoing police interrogation. They urged authorities to respect his legal rights, maintain the presumption of innocence, and protect him from intimidation or abuse throughout the judicial process.
