Dennis Storm Clashes with New Revu Editor-in-Chief Over Sustainability Critique

Amsterdam, Netherlands – Former BNN broadcaster‍ Dennis Storm has publicly rebuked Danny Koks, editor-in-chief of New Revu magazine, calling⁤ a comment about his sustainability advocacy from Bali a “strange comment.” The exchange occurred during an interview with New Revu regarding Storm’s lifestyle changes and recent book.

Storm, who left BNN to‌ focus on sustainability ⁢initiatives in Bali, has frequently commented on environmentally conscious living. In the New revu interview, he criticized consumer habits, specifically citing shopping at stores like Action and Primark, and⁣ questioned the necessity of excessive product variety,⁣ using adhesive tape as ⁤an example.⁤ “We just have to stop buying plastic junk at Primark⁢ or the Action…Then all those other 938 species [of tape] can go with ‌hearts, unicorns and flags,” he stated. The conflict arose when the interviewer revealed koks’ initial reaction to Storm’s participation in⁢ the interview: “Nice, Dennis Storm is going to tell us from Bali how he wants to change the world.”‌

Storm responded directly, stating, “Then I will just read the editor-in-chief, becuase that is just an assumption.” He further accused the media of prioritizing “Clickbait”⁤ over truth,‍ claiming 90 percent of media content falls into that ⁢category.

Storm ⁤defended his book as being based on “scientific reports,” asserting 95 percent of its content is derived from journalistic conclusions, not ‍personal opinion. He also refuted a narrative that he lives a lavish lifestyle in bali, stating he⁢ has “never” flown business class and ‍currently lives modestly.

Currently in the Netherlands for six weeks⁣ while his wife applies to ⁢international schools in Spain,‌ Storm also⁣ clarified his current income sources, stating he works “a few hours a month ⁣for a foundation”‌ and has published ⁤seven books over the last fifteen years, including one for which he ⁣received no advance.
