The⁣ incident, which occurred on Sunday, involved a ⁤BMW colliding with a motorcycle, resulting in ​the death of a Finance Ministry official and injuries‌ to multiple individuals.

Eyewitnesses reported to police that​ a woman was driving the ‍BMW when it⁣ struck the⁤ motorcycle. Following the collision, the woman and her ‍husband transported the injured to a hospital in a taxi, according ⁤to an ANI report. ‌

The victim, ⁣identified ​as Navjot Singh, was found lying unresponsive ⁢near the overturned vehicle, with‍ his damaged motorcycle nearby. His wife was also injured at the ‌scene. Visuals from the crash site,widely circulated on social media,depict⁤ the wrecked BMW⁢ with a shattered windshield ⁤and open doors,and show injured ⁣individuals lying on the ground. Footage⁣ shows a woman, reportedly⁣ the‍ driver, attempting⁤ to⁢ assist passengers from⁢ the vehicle.

Delhi Police have⁤ filed a case​ of culpable homicide, citing sections 281 (rash driving or ‍riding on a public way), 125B (acts ⁤endangering ⁤life or personal safety ‍of others), ‍105 (culpable homicide not amounting‍ to‌ murder), ‍and 238 (causing​ disappearance of evidence of offense or giving false information ⁢to screen offender) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita ⁣(BNS), as reported by PTI.

both the BMW and the⁣ motorcycle have‌ been seized,⁢ and forensic experts analyzed the crime scene as‌ part of the ongoing investigation. The driver has been arrested, as ‌confirmed in a recent report.
