NBC Cancels ‘Deal or No Deal Island‘ After Two Seasons
NBC has canceled teh reality competition series Deal or No Deal Island following its second season, according to Deadline. The show, which premiered on NBC in February 2024 and concluded its second season in January 2025, averaged a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic, a decrease from its first season.
Deal or No Deal Island, hosted by Joe Manganiello, is a spin-off of the original Deal or No Deal game show. Contestants compete in physical and mental challenges on an island to secure briefcases containing potential prize money totaling over $200 million. The player with the highest-value briefcase gains immunity and selects another player to face the Banker in a classic Deal or No Deal scenario. A poor deal results in immediate elimination,while a prosperous deal grants the power to eliminate another contestant. Winnings accumulate in a group pot, increasing exponentially throughout the season.
The series is produced by Endemol Shine North America, with executive producers including manganiello, Matt Kunitz, Vittoria Cacciatore, Jeffrey Breeden, Howie Mandel, Sharon Levy, Michael Heyerman, and Sean Loughlin.
The first two seasons of Deal or No Deal Island are currently available for streaming on Peacock.
