A 29-year-old man from Bangladesh was found dead inside the Omonia Police Station.
According to information from police sources, cited by ERT, the 29-year-old allegedly hanged himself using his clothes.
The young man was arrested last night (9/30) for damaging a police car and was in custody with 11 other people.

“In the morning hours today, in the holding area of the Omonia Police Department, police officers of the same Service found a hanged foreign prisoner.
The foreigner was arrested the previous night (30-09-2024) for causing damage to a patrol vehicle.
The competent Prosecutor’s Office has been informed about the case and a case file is being prepared by the Attica Security Directorate, while a Medical Examiner and a team of the Criminal Investigations Directorate have been called to the scene.
It is noted that the aforementioned foreigner was in the detention area together with 11 other prisoners.
