Spanish singer Dani Martín canceled two concerts at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on October 23 and 24, just hours before taking the stage, citing a severe family emergency.
Last-Minute Cancellation at Palau Sant Jordi
Dani Martín was slated to perform in Barcelona on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, as part of his ‘Cantando todos mis éxitos’ tour. The Saturday show had already sold out, prompting the addition of the Friday night date. However, less than four hours before the scheduled 21:00 start time on Friday, the singer’s official social media channels posted an urgent statement calling off both performances.
“Por motivo de una situación familiar de extrema gravedad, Dani Martín no va a poder llevar a cabo los conciertos previstos para hoy y mañana en Barcelona,” the statement read.
Organizers indicated that details regarding the rescheduling of the missed dates would be announced soon. Ticket holders who cannot attend the eventual makeup dates will likely be permitted to request a refund of the amount they had spent.
Artist Withholds Details While Tour Faces Disruption
Journalists from Y ahora Sonsoles reported that the artist instructed his team to withhold further details regarding the personal crisis. Reports indicate that the singer intends to address his followers directly when he is ready to explain the situation.
As the tour faces immediate disruption, ticket holders must monitor official channels for upcoming refund windows and rescheduled performance dates.
