Maricopa county Names Dan Diaz as McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct Constable
Scottsdale, AZ – The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors announced today the appointment of Dan Diaz as the new Constable for the McDowell Mountain Justice precinct, effective instantly. The appointment fills a vacancy and places Diaz in a critical role serving a large portion of the East Valley.
The McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct encompasses Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, fountain Hills, and Northeast Phoenix, covering Supervisorial districts 2 and 3. Constables are responsible for serving legal documents - including processes, warrants, and notices - and providing security at justice courts.This appointment ensures continued operation of these essential functions within the precinct.
Diaz brings over five years of law enforcement experience to the position.He most recently served as a Police Lieutenant for the Superior Police Department, beginning in May 2018, and previously worked as a Police Officer with the Casa grande Police Department for one year.

The appointment adhered to legal requirements, mandating the appointee be a registered Arizona voter, a resident of the McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct, and a member of the Republican party, consistent with his predecessor David Lester’s affiliation. Diaz will serve the remainder of the current term.
