Dan Diaz Named McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct Constable in Maricopa County

Maricopa county Names Dan Diaz as ⁢McDowell ⁢Mountain⁢ Justice​ Precinct Constable

Scottsdale, AZ – The ‍Maricopa County‌ Board⁤ of Supervisors announced today the appointment of Dan Diaz as the new‌ Constable for the McDowell Mountain ​Justice precinct,‍ effective instantly.⁢ The appointment fills a vacancy and places Diaz in a critical role serving‍ a large portion ‍of the ​East Valley.

The McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct encompasses⁤ Scottsdale,⁤ Paradise Valley,​ fountain ‌Hills,​ and Northeast Phoenix, covering ​Supervisorial districts 2 and 3. ‍Constables are​ responsible​ for⁣ serving legal ⁢documents ⁤- including ⁢processes, warrants, and⁤ notices ⁤- ​and providing security ⁤at justice courts.This appointment⁣ ensures ⁢continued operation of these essential functions within the precinct.

Diaz brings over five years of law enforcement experience to the position.He most recently served as a Police Lieutenant for the Superior Police⁤ Department, ‍beginning in May 2018, and previously ​worked as a ​Police Officer with the Casa⁢ grande Police Department ​for one year.

“Constables ‌play a pivotal role‌ in our communities and oftentimes put their lives at risk to keep residents safe,”‍ said⁣ Chairman Thomas Galvin, District 2. “Even though all‍ three candidates would make excellent constables, Mr. Diaz’s exemplary law enforcement ‍experience and award recognitions made‌ him the ⁤best choice.⁤ I wish Constable‍ Diaz the ‍best of luck in his new role.”

The⁣ appointment adhered to legal requirements, mandating the appointee be a registered Arizona‍ voter, a resident of the McDowell Mountain Justice Precinct, and a member of the Republican party, consistent with ⁤his predecessor David Lester’s affiliation. Diaz will serve⁣ the ⁣remainder of the current term.
