Dame Clic reaches 3,000 projects and adopts AI
Costa Rican digital agency Dame Clic has surpassed 3,000 executed projects and served over 350 companies during a history of more than 25 years that now spans an expansion into artificial intelligence and international markets. Founded and directed by Anthony Trigueros Piedra, an alumnus of the University of Costa Rica, the firm combines web development, search engine optimization, and strategy while preparing to scale its operations outside the country.
From Apple in 1989 to Digital Integration
The agency’s roots stretch back well before the web became a standard commercial channel. In 1989, Trigueros adopted Apple technology for advertising graphic design, a step that aligned his early career with the computing shifts that later reshaped the communications sector. Over the following decades, the founder expanded into website creation and search engine optimization, while also working with a firm that maintained a presence in Mexico, Spain, Colombia, Portugal, and Panama.
According to Trigueros, the firm was already handling SEO and complex digital platforms for major corporations during an era when traditional media dominated advertising and the web remained unfamiliar territory for many corporate decision-makers. That early entry gave the agency a front-row seat to the corporate transition toward digital platforms.

The Pandemic Turning Point and the Evolution of GEO
The pandemic forced companies to accelerate technological investments as remote commerce and consumer outreach became essential. In that climate, Dame Clic solidified its identity as a full-service agency encompassing creative work, web development, advertising campaigns, and performance analysis.
The agency’s name stems from the marketing term “call to action,” reflecting an emphasis on converting online traffic into direct commercial opportunities rather than raw web visits. The internal team has also grown to include Sofía Trigueros, daughter of the founder and a digital marketing specialist focused on Google Ads, SEO, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). GEO changes how brands gain visibility, moving beyond blue link search results to appear in direct answers generated by artificial intelligence assistants.
Balancing Automation with Human Oversight
Dame Clic incorporates AI tools to analyze data, streamline creative workflows, and optimize advertising performance rather than using automated systems to displace human labor. The agency builds proprietary technology, including automated quotation systems and intelligent agents designed to manage corporate communication channels.
Regional context underscores the commercial push into automated tools. According to the fourth edition of the State of AI in Latin America report by Hi Ventures, 71% of surveyed corporations have adopted artificial intelligence in at least one team or function, while 53% of startups utilize production agents compared to 30% of corporations. Within large enterprises, 40% maintain direct human supervision over their AI deployments.
As Dame Clic deploys its automated customer service agents and operational tools to handle routine tasks, the firm’s leadership retains control over high-level strategy and client relationships.
