Dallas-Fort Worth Wildfire Alert: Red Flag Warning for Tuesday

February 24, 2026 Lucas Fernandez – World Editor World

A red flag warning is in effect for Dallas-Fort Worth as strong winds and dry conditions elevate the risk of wildfires, according to N+ Univision 23 Dallas-Fort Worth. The National Weather Service reports sustained south-southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 35 mph.

The alert comes as authorities monitor potential fire hazards across the region. KUVN-DT, the Univision affiliate serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, is providing live coverage of the situation, including updates on any incidents reported in the area. The station’s digital edition is also offering real-time information.

Recent reporting from Univision 23 also covered separate events including Dallas’ evaluation of a $1.14 million investment to modernize City Hall, the detention of a Cuban woman by ICE in Texas who alleges a denial of medical treatment and progress between DART and cities in North Texas toward a new agreement. The Dallas consulate has issued a statement calling for calm following the death of “El Mencho,” and airlines serving Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport have activated alerts due to violence in Mexico.

A North Texas resident recently claimed a million-dollar prize from the Texas Lottery, purchasing the winning scratch-off ticket at a local supermarket and requesting anonymity, according to Univision 23.

As of Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the station is also providing live coverage of President Trump’s State of the Union address, noting that the speech is occurring amidst legal challenges and a Democratic boycott. Trump has invited the men’s hockey team to attend the address.
