Prague,Czech Republic – Actor Jan dlouhý spoke of his late fatherS acting prowess,emphasizing a “purity and humility” that allowed him to fully inhabit each role,differentiating himself uniquely in every performance. Dlouhý’s comments came during a recent interview discussing his current work on the long-running Czech television series Ulice (The Street).
Dlouhý, who currently portrays Marek in Ulice alongside his brother Jiří as his twin Matěj, highlighted the advantage of thier real-life sibling bond in portraying the complex fraternal relationship within the show. He described how they intentionally diverge from their personal dynamic to create distinct characters-Matěj grappling with internal struggles, and Marek facing the repercussions of his actions. The actor also discussed his upcoming stage role in Monster at the prague Theater, a play addressing the growing issue of mental health challenges among young people, a theme resonating with the critically acclaimed television miniseries Adolescent.
Dlouhý reflected on his father’s approach to acting, stating that he was completely different in each role, embodying the essence of the craft. he is currently appearing in Ulice, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Monster is set to premiere in early December.
