D4vd, Singer whose Car Contained Dismembered Teen, Retains Attorney Known for Defending Harvey Weinstein
Los Angeles, CA – Rising singer D4vd has hired Blair Berk, a high-profile criminal defence attorney previously known for representing Harvey Weinstein, as authorities continue to investigate the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose dismembered body was discovered in D4vd’s vehicle in September. The move comes amid intense scrutiny surrounding the case and after a search of a los Angeles home rented by the artist.
Rivas’ body was found wrapped in plastic inside D4vd’s tesla while he was on a world tour. Police have stated the singer has been cooperative, but the finding prompted the search of a Hollywood Hills rental property linked to him. Photos and music videos of D4vd and rivas together resurfaced online following her disappearance, and rivas’ mother identified “David”-the singer’s stage name-as her daughter’s boyfriend. D4vd later canceled the remaining dates of his tour.
Berk’s client list includes other prominent figures such as Kanye West, Britney Spears, and lindsay Lohan. She previously defended weinstein, who was convicted of rape and sentenced to prison in 2023.
the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner resolute Rivas’ death occurred within a ”vehicle,” and has deferred determining the official cause of death pending further testing. Rivas had been reported missing prior to the discovery of her remains, which investigators believe were in D4vd’s Tesla for several weeks.
A gofundme campaign established to support Rivas’ family has raised over $24,000 toward a $28,000 goal. D4vd has not publicly commented on the case.
