Cybersecurity Forum: Google AI & Startups – Apply Now!

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Google DeepMind and Google Cloud are partnering to host a forum in London this spring aimed at bolstering the next generation of cybersecurity startups. Applications are now open for the two-day event, designed for Seed to Series A founders and will run before April 29.

The forum builds on previous cybersecurity programs that have supported companies including BforeAI, Patchstack, and LetsData. Selected founders will have the opportunity to explore practical applications of Google AI, including the Gemini model, and learn strategies for scaling their products with direct input from Google engineers. The program as well emphasizes networking and collaboration among peers.

Participants will engage in debates and co-creation sessions, and receive ongoing support through Google for Startups. The forum is offered as a benefit of the Google for Startups Gemini Kit, which provides access to APIs, tools, training, and technical resources for startups leveraging AI.

According to Google Cloud, its AI technologies are built on over 20 years of research and development, including the foundational Transformer architecture that underpins many modern AI systems. Google DeepMind, Google’s AI research lab, is dedicated to building safe and ethical AI, and prioritizes inclusivity and collaboration, according to a December 2024 Google Cloud blog post.

In December 2025, Google DeepMind announced its support for a U.S. Department of Energy mission, Genesis, intended to accelerate innovation and scientific discovery. The company has also emphasized the rapid pace of AI adoption, noting that the expansion of AI applications is “picking up exponentially.”

For practical business solutions, Google Cloud AI packages technology from across Google, including DeepMind, though alternative AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta also offer distinct strengths, according to TechBusiness360.
