Cristiano Ronaldo directs Al-Nassr focus to Postecoglou
Ronaldo Directs Locker Room Focus to Postecoglou After Al-Nassr Hat-Trick
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick within 15 minutes during Al-Nassr’s 5-3 Saudi Pro League victory over Al-Kholood on Thursday, taking his career total to 985 goals. Despite his standout performance at Al-Awwal Park, the team captain refused to address the dressing room after the match, instead directing his teammates’ attention to head coach Ange Postecoglou.
How the Match Unfolded on the Pitch
Al-Kholood tested the reigning champions during a chaotic first half. Julien Domingues opened the scoring for the visitors in the 16th minute before Ângelo Gabriel equalized for Al-Nassr. Sadio Mané subsequently put the home side ahead, only for Antoine Essomba to equalize in first-half stoppage time, leaving the score level at 2-2 at the break. Ronaldo had two first-half goals ruled out for offside before breaking through in the second half.
Joao Felix provided the assists for Ronaldo’s first two goals in the 66th and 72nd minutes. Ronaldo then completed his hat-trick in the 81st minute from a pass by Mané, while Felix finished the match with four assists and Domingues added a late penalty for Al-Kholood.

Ronaldo Wins Ballon d'Or Of All Time Award
Following the final whistle, Al-Nassr players urged their captain to speak to the squad. In behind-the-scenes footage shared on YouTube, Ronaldo rejected the floor, stating, “The only person to speak now is the coach.” Postecoglou took charge of Al-Nassr in July and later praised the forward’s ability to deliver despite his age and the collective response. The victory kept Al-Nassr in second place behind Al Qadsiah.
