Creative Australia Grant Support Material Requirements

To ensure your application is considered, you must provide the following essential supporting materials:

  1. Proof of matched Funding: This shoudl align with the examples provided in the “Budget & Matched Funding” section.
  2. Artist recordings: A minimum of two audio recordings from the artist(s) involved, which can be existing or demo tracks.
  3. First Nations Support (if applicable): If your project involves First Nations communities, organizations, or Elders, you must include letters of support that demonstrate appropriate permissions and backing. For guidance on this, please consult the First nations Protocols available at https://creative.gov.au/investment-and-development/protocols-and-resources/protocols-for-using-first-nations-cultural-and-intellectual-property-in-the-arts/.

Additionally,you may submit the following supplementary materials:

  1. Other Artistic Support Material: Any other materials that showcase the artistic merit of your project.
  2. Biographies and CVs: A consolidated document, not exceeding two A4 pages in total, containing brief biographies for key personnel such as label staff, artists, or other project collaborators.
  3. Letters of Confirmation: Up to five letters confirming the involvement of collaborators directly engaged in the activity. Each letter should not exceed one A4 page.
  4. Letters of Support: Up to two letters of support, with each letter not exceeding one A4 page. These letters should not come from individuals,artists,or organizations that stand to gain financially from the project.

Accepted Formats for support Material:

The preferred method for submitting support material is through URLs (weblinks). You can provide up to three URLs that direct to relevant content, which can include video, audio, images, or written materials. These URLs collectively can contain:

A maximum of 10 minutes of video and/or audio recordings.
A maximum of 10 pages of written material.
A maximum of 5 images.

Important note on URLs: The assessment panel will not access any URLs that require login credentials or subscriptions. Please avoid providing links to platforms like Spotify that necessitate user accounts or payment for access. If you are linking to private or password-protected media files (e.g., on Vimeo), ensure you provide the necessary password in the designated field on the application form. All provided weblinks must be functional, easily accessible, and have no expiry dates.

Choice File Uploads:

If you are unable to provide support material via URLs, you can upload it directly to your application in the following file formats:

Video: MP4, QuickTime, and Windows Media.
Audio: MP3 and Windows Media.
Images: JPEG and PowerPoint.
* Written Material: Word and PDF.

Support material related to your application will not be accepted via postal mail. Any materials received by post will not be assessed and will be returned to the sender.
