Crave revives Méchant changement with Mathieu Dufour
Quebec television is reviving the 2000s renovation format Méchant changement with comedian Mathieu Dufour taking over hosting duties from Stéphane Bellavance, alongside director Patrice Ouimet. The production preserves the core elements of surprise and suspense that defined the original series while targeting an audience spanning viewers nostalgic for the early version and teenagers unfamiliar with the title.
The updated series launches Tuesday, November 3, on Crave. Each episode ambushes a teenager aged 13 to 17 to completely rebuild and redecorate their bedroom to match their personality and tastes, blending the design-focused format with personal storytelling and humor orchestrated by Dufour.
