A couple is facing fraud charges in Australia after allegedly using a concealed camera and audio devices to win A$1.2 million at a Sydney casino. Dilnoza Israilova and her husband, nikolai Israilov, were arrested after casino staff noticed a small camera hidden within the design of Mrs. Israilova’s Mickey Mouse T-shirt.
The alleged scheme, uncovered at The Star casino in New South Wales, involved the pair using hidden earpieces to receive instructions during card games, enabling them to make informed bets. Both individuals were denied bail and face further court appearances.
According to New South Wales Police, casino staff became suspicious of Mrs. Israilova after observing the discreet camera on her clothing. Investigators allege the couple used the technology to gain an unfair advantage while wagering on card games.
A search of the couple’s accommodation revealed additional “gambling props,” along with high-end jewelry and €2,000 (approximately £1,750 or $2,320) in cash. Police stated they are not currently seeking any other individuals in connection with the alleged fraud.mrs. Israilova is scheduled to return to court in February, while Mr. israilov will appear on December 11, according to reports from the Guardian Australia and statements from new South Wales Police.
