Coupe de France Draw: DFCO to Face US Orléans

Coupe de France Draw: DFCO to Face US Orléans

October 28, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Dijon FCO enters the Coupe de France on the weekend of November 14 and 15, 2026, facing US Orléans in the 7th round of the national competition, ici.fr reported following the official draw held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The draw sets up a familiar fixture for the Ligue 2 side. DFCO and US Orléans crossed paths regularly during their seasons together in the National championship. Most recently, Dijon secured promotion to Ligue 2 on May 15, 2026, with a home victory against Orléans at Stade Gaston-Gérard.

What the Draw Means for Dijon FCO

Orléans currently competes in Ligue 3 and has experienced a difficult start to its league campaign, prompting a recent managerial change. Despite the opponent’s domestic struggles, DFCO general director Paul Fauvel warned against complacency.

A Côte-d’Or Derby in Group E

The draw also delivered a local fixture in Group E, pairing ASPTT Dijon against Is-Selongey. The clash brings together two amateur clubs from Côte-d’Or early in the national phase.

Is-Selongey president Chakib Aouidat described his reaction to the pairing as mixed. He noted that while the match promises to be a significant event for the local region, he felt disappointed that two amateur sides from the same department must eliminate one another so early in the tournament.

ASPTT Dijon coach and sporting director Guillaume Carlot echoed those mixed feelings. He pointed out that reaching the 7th round traditionally offers amateur players a rare chance to measure themselves against professionals, yet acknowledged the appeal of hosting a local derby with a spot in the 8th round on the line.
