Costco Rolls Out Early Shopping Hours for Executive Members
Costco is shaking up its hours, offering early access to its executive members. This move aims to improve the shopping experience for its most loyal customers, promising a more exclusive and convenient experience.
New Shopping Hours Unveiled
Starting June 30th, Costco executive members will gain early entry to stores. They can enter locations an hour before the doors open to the general public. Notifications were sent via email to these customers, informing them of the changes that will take effect throughout July.
In addition to the weekday and weekend changes, Saturday hours are adjusted. Beginning July 5th, stores will close at 7 p.m. on Saturdays, one hour sooner than the usual closing time.
Early Access Schedule
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
- Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Executive Membership Perks
Costco’s executive members enjoy benefits like the Gold Star membership, which includes access to warehouses and fuel stations. They also receive additional home delivery options. Moreover, executive members receive an annual 2% reward on qualifying purchases and discounts on Costco services.
The company also stated executive members will get a monthly $10 credit on orders of at least $150 placed through the “Same-Day” delivery service.
Membership Costs
Costco provides three membership levels tailored to various consumer needs. The standard Gold Star membership costs $65 annually. The Business membership, also $65 per year, serves business owners seeking to buy products for resale. The Executive membership, priced at $130, combines all previous benefits with exclusive advantages, including a 2% reward on yearly purchases (up to $1,250) and extended hours at specific locations.
To join, individuals need to provide official photo identification and an email address. Applications can be initiated online; however, physical membership cards are obtained at a store, which are issued the same day.
