XSEED Games has canceled teh physical release of the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack in the West, and will no longer digitally release the unreleased games included within the bundle.The announcement comes after pre-orders were halted last month due too an unforeseen issue.
Originally announced in August, the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack was intended to bring a collection of titles to western audiences. Though, XSEED Games stated they were informed that content within several games in the pack did not meet current platform guidelines, leading to the cancellation of both the physical and digital releases.
According to a statement released by XSEED Games: “Though we previously released entries in the Corpse Party series on console platforms and digital storefronts in the West, we were informed that the contents of several games in the tetralogy Pack did not comply with current platform guidelines. As a result,we are unable to release these games as intended and have subsequently canceled the physical release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack,as well as the digital offerings of previously unreleased Corpse Party games featured in the Tetralogy Pack.”
XSEED Games has apologized for the disappointment and stated their continued commitment to working with MAGES. to bring Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion to the West, promising further details when available.
