‘Friday Night Lights’ Star Connie Britton, 58, Announces Engagement to Producer David Windsor
LOS ANGELES, CA – Connie Britton, beloved for her role in Friday Night Lights and numerous other television series, is engaged to marry producer David Windsor, PEOPLE magazine confirmed Sunday. The 58-year-old actress was spotted at los Angeles International Airport on Friday displaying a ring on her left hand while sharing a kiss with Windsor.
The engagement marks a notable milestone for Britton, who has spoken openly about seeking a deeply connected partnership. She and Windsor have been together for six years, meeting in 2019 at a mutual friend’s birthday party – a moment britton described as unforgettable. “I’m talking to my friend, and he looks past me, and he sees David across the room, and he is like, ‘There’s someone here you have to meet,'” Britton recalled to SiriusXM. “I turned around and I looked at who he was pointing at and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I want to meet him!'”
Britton, an Emmy-nominated actress known for her roles in Nashville, The White Lotus, and Dirty John, has emphasized the importance of mutual growth within a relationship. In a March interview with Parade, she explained, “What I was really looking for was a partnership where there’s constant growth, on both sides, and a sort of deepening of each other. It’s not just like, ‘Oh, I found true love.’ It’s that I found somebody who I can walk on a journey with that is going to be constantly ever-changing.”
