Columbus Food Mill Donates Dresses to Local Girls Clubs

The Food Mill of Columbus, in partnership with local organizations, recently donated over 70 dresses to young girls participating in programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley.

The donation, which occurred earlier this month, aimed to provide formal wear for special events and occasions, according to a Facebook post from The Food Mill. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley expressed their gratitude for the contribution, noting the positive impact it would have on the girls they serve.

The Food Mill, a community partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs, collaborated with other entities to gather the dresses. The Boys & Girls Club of Chattahoochee Valley’s mission is to inspire and enable young people to become responsible and productive citizens.

Representatives from both organizations highlighted the importance of community support in empowering young women. The Food Mill stated they were “honored” to participate in the initiative, although the Boys & Girls Clubs emphasized the value of providing opportunities for girls to build confidence and self-esteem.
