Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Joins Statewide ‘Speeding Catches Up With You’ Campaign
COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C.- The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is actively participating in the NC Governor’s Highway Safety Program‘s statewide ‘speeding Catches up With You’ campaign. This initiative aims to enhance road safety by targeting excessive speed and aggressive driving behaviors.
The campaign is scheduled to run from July 21 to July 27.During this period, the CCSO will increase patrols with the primary objective of apprehending speeders before any accidents occur.
CCSO Sheriff Bill Rogers emphasized the critical danger of speeding, stating, “Every mile per hour over the limit puts lives at risk.” He further highlighted the department’s commitment to community safety, ensuring roads are secure for all users, including children.
