Top Players to Compete at 2024 China Open in beijing

BEIJING,Oct. 5 – The China Open will return to Beijing this week, featuring a star-studded field despite the late withdrawal of World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka and Madison Keys. the WTA 1000 event, taking place October 5-13, boasts six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek as the top seed, alongside Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Mirra Andreeva, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini, Zheng Qinwen, Elena Rybakina, Naomi Osaka, Victoria Mboko, Jelena Ostapenko, Sofia Kenin, Emma Raducanu, Bianca Andreescu, and Barbora Krejcikova.

Tournament Details:

* Dates: October 5-13
* Location: Beijing, China
* Singles Draw: 96 players, including 12 qualifiers. The top 32 seeds receive a first-round bye.
* Doubles Draw: 32 teams
* Prize Money: $8,963,700 total, the fourth-highest of the WTA 1000 events.
* Ranking Points: 1,000 points awarded to the champion.

Defending Champions:

* Singles: Coco Gauff (2023) – Gauff defeated Osaka, Badosa, and Karolina Muchova en route to the title.
* Doubles: Jasmine Paolini & Sara Errani (2023) – They beat Chan hao-ching and veronika Kudermetova in the final.
* Past Champions: Iga Swiatek (2023) and Naomi osaka (2019). The tournament was not held between 2020-2022.

The draw is scheduled to be released on Monday, September 22.
