China Agricultural University Chinese Government Scholarship 2027: Requirements and Application Guide
China Agricultural University Opens 2027 Chinese Government Scholarship Admissions
China Agricultural University has opened applications for the 2027 Chinese Government Scholarship program, welcoming international graduate students for master’s and doctoral degrees. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good mental and physical health with no criminal record, and they must satisfy specific academic and language requirements before the application window closes on February 28, 2027.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, on-campus double-room accommodation, living allowances, and insurance. International travel expenses remain the responsibility of the student. Master’s degree programs span two to three academic years, while doctoral programs run for three to four years.
Master's and Doctoral Applicants Must Meet Age and Language Criteria
Candidates must meet distinct criteria based on their intended degree level. Master’s degree applicants need a qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or higher and must be under 35 years of age. Doctoral applicants require a master’s degree equivalent or higher and must be under 40 years old.
Language proficiency requirements depend on the medium of instruction. Programs taught in English require a TOEFL iBT score of at least 90, an IELTS score of at least 6.5, or proof that previous education was completed in English. Programs taught in Chinese require an HSK Level 5 certificate. Academic transcripts must show a grade point average above 3.0 with no failed courses.
Applicants Must Submit Passports, Transcripts and Research Plans
Applicants must compile a comprehensive dossier of records. Required documents include a valid passport expiring after December 2027, notarized highest degree certificates or graduation expectation certificates for 2027 graduates, official academic transcripts, and two recommendation letters from associate professors or scholars with higher academic titles. Candidates also need a study or research plan of at least 1,000 words, valid language certificates, a Foreigner Physical Examination Record completed within the last six months, a non-criminal record report from local public security authorities, and any published academic papers, patents, or other academic achievements.
The application process requires simultaneous submissions through two separate web portals. Applicants must first register on the China Agricultural University application system at CAU Application System, fill out personal details, select a major, and pay a non-refundable RMB 400 registration fee. Next, candidates must complete an online procedure at the CSC Information Management System for International Students using Agency Number 10019 under Type B.
Admissions Process Leads to Final Notices and Registration Deadlines
The admissions workflow begins with document reviews, followed by college online interviews or exams. Successful candidates receive a Pre-admission Notice via email, which they must upload to the CSC system. The Chinese Government Scholarships Council then conducts its review, after which China Agricultural University issues final Admission Notices and the Confirmation Form for Study in China (JW201).
Accepted students must register on time. Missing registration deadlines without valid reasons results in the cancellation of both university admission and the scholarship. Scholarship recipients cannot change their host university, major, field of study, or duration of study without forfeiting the award. Recipients must pass an annual evaluation organized by the host University to maintain funding for subsequent years.
