TikTok Butcher Claims Buying Pre-Cut Chicken Breast ⁤is a “Fatal Mistake”

A Spanish butcher gaining popularity on TikTok is advising customers too avoid purchasing ⁤individual chicken breasts at teh butcher shop or supermarket, claiming it’s a costly error.⁤ Known as ⁣”El Carnicero TikToker,” the content creator asserts⁣ requesting a ⁤whole⁢ chicken and having⁣ it cut up by the butcher is the most economical and efficient approach.

The advice comes as‌ consumers increasingly seek ways ⁤to combat rising food costs.According ⁣to the butcher, customers unknowingly overpay for ⁤the convenience of pre-cut portions, missing out on a free service offered by most butchers. He argues that⁤ buying a whole chicken allows⁢ customers to utilize the entire bird – including the carcass for broth – and⁢ receive custom cuts at no extra charge.

In ⁣a recent TikTok video, the‍ butcher stated, “I always say it and I will always say it, it’s a fatal mistake” to ‍buy chicken breast already separated. He⁢ explains⁣ that many⁣ customers “don’t ⁢know how to buy,” but he’s⁢ there to provide‍ guidance. His recommendation is to ⁤specifically ask for “a whole chick.”

Acknowledging that‌ some may find a whole chicken too ⁤large, he countered, “If you are just one person it doesn’t ⁤matter because ⁢I’m sure you have a freezer.”‍ He further elaborated that butchers will happily portion⁣ the ‍chicken – wings, hindquarters, and breast – and that “All this is done‍ for you totally free. They ⁣will not charge you anything more for doing it‌ this way.”

The TikTok butcher also highlighted the customization options available⁤ when requesting a whole chicken cut-up, noting customers can ‍specify how they ‍want the breasts prepared: “it can be whole, in fillets, in strips, chopped…” ‌He believes this knowledge empowers‍ consumers to avoid being “deceived” or making a costly mistake when purchasing chicken.
