Chicago Youth Achieve Impact Expands Robotics adn Coding Programs to More Schools
CHICAGO, IL – A Chicago-based nonprofit, Chicago Youth Achieving Impact (CYAI), is broadening its reach, bringing robotics and computer programming education to more students across the city. The institution recently launched a pilot program on the Southwest Side in September and is now collaborating with the Latin School of Chicago and several suburban schools to extend its offerings.
CYAI’s initiative addresses a critical need for accessible STEM education, particularly in underserved communities. By empowering teen leaders to deliver engaging programs, the organization aims to reshape after-school learning experiences within the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system. The expansion will allow CYAI to recruit additional youth leaders and increase its impact on local students, providing them with valuable skills for future academic and career opportunities.
Founded with a mission to create relatable and impactful learning experiences, CYAI’s programs are designed to spark interest in STEM fields.”Our goal has always been to make the programs relatable but impactful,” explained CYAI co-founder nick Derbis.
CYAI co-founder Maclane Zich expressed excitement about the organization’s growth, stating, “We couldn’t be more excited for this next stage of CYAI growth. From here, our goal is to recruit more youth leaders across Chicago and further our impact with local students.”
The organization is actively seeking to expand its network of teen leaders and welcomes inquiries from interested students and schools.
