Chicago STEM Programs Expand to Chicago Public Schools

Chicago Youth Achieve Impact Expands Robotics⁢ adn Coding Programs to More Schools

CHICAGO, IL – A Chicago-based nonprofit, Chicago Youth Achieving ​Impact (CYAI), is broadening its reach, bringing robotics and computer programming education to ⁤more students ⁢across the city. The institution recently launched a pilot program on the Southwest⁢ Side in September and is now collaborating ‍with the ⁢Latin School of Chicago and several suburban schools to extend its offerings.

CYAI’s initiative addresses​ a critical need for accessible STEM education, particularly in underserved communities. By empowering teen leaders to deliver engaging programs,⁤ the organization aims​ to reshape after-school learning experiences within the Chicago⁣ Public Schools (CPS) system. The ​expansion will allow ​CYAI to recruit additional youth leaders and increase its impact on local students, providing them with valuable skills for future academic and career opportunities.

Founded with ⁣a mission‌ to create relatable and impactful learning⁤ experiences, CYAI’s ‌programs are designed to spark interest in STEM fields.”Our goal⁢ has always been to make the ⁣programs relatable but impactful,” explained CYAI co-founder nick Derbis.

CYAI co-founder Maclane ‍Zich expressed ⁤excitement about the organization’s growth, stating, “We couldn’t be​ more⁤ excited ⁤for ​this next stage of ⁣CYAI growth. From here, ‍our goal is to ‍recruit more youth leaders across Chicago and further our impact with ⁣local students.”

The organization ⁣is​ actively‌ seeking to expand​ its network of teen​ leaders and welcomes inquiries from interested students⁢ and schools.
