Chattanooga Women’s Tennis Concludes Rain-filled Austin Peay Invite
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Chattanooga women’s tennis wrapped up competition at the Austin Peay Invite Sunday, securing wins in multiple singles matches despite weather delays. The Mocs demonstrated strong individual performances against Austin Peay State University, closing out the fall tournament schedule with positive momentum.
The weekend’s matches provided valuable competitive experience as chattanooga prepares for the upcoming SoCon/Big South Shootout. The tournament offered an opportunity for players to refine their skills and build team cohesion before facing a new set of opponents. Results from the invite will inform coaching decisions regarding lineup adjustments and individual player development plans.
Addison Iacono defeated Clemence Butavand of Austin Peay State, 8-7.Zara Burns fell to Butavand’s teammate, rufaro Magarira, also by an 8-7 score. Jordan Fenton secured a victory over elena Thiel, winning 8-6, while Ella Mancuso dominated Ayden Kujawa with an 8-0 win.
