“It’s an honor”: Charlotte Cardin Reacts to NRJ Music Awards Nomination
Cannes, France – Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin is celebrating a nomination for “French-speaking Female Artist” at the upcoming NRJ Music Awards, following the success of her hit single “Feel Good.” The nomination marks a special return for Cardin, who performed with Ofenbach at last year’s ceremony.
“I was so happy to learn of my nomination in this category,” Cardin shared during a visit to NRJ, adding with a smile, “It’s true that it’s an honor, and it’s exciting.” She described the experience of being nominated as distinct from her previous appearance. “Last year, I was at the NRJ Music Awards to sing with Ofenbach. They were kind enough to invite me to sing with them. But there, being able to experience it while being nominated is something else again.”
Cardin will compete against a lineup of established artists she deeply respects, including Aya Nakamura, Helena, Vanessa Paradis, and Louane. “They are all artists for whom I have a lot of respect, who all really have their own style too,” she noted. ”What’s interesting is that I find that it’s still a diverse musical style. And I admit that I’m a huge fan of Aya Nakamura,so it’s an honor to be nominated alongside her.”
The NRJ music Awards are scheduled to take place on the Croisette in Cannes.
