New video previews and the ending song for “Chainsaw man – The Movie: Reze Arc” have been released, offering fans a deeper look into the upcoming film. The movie, a sequel to the acclaimed anime series, is slated for release in Japan on November 22nd.
“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” continues the story of Denji, a teenage boy who fuses with the Chainsaw Devil, Pochita, and becomes the titular Chainsaw Man. The film adapts the ”Reze” arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga, promising a continuation of the intense action and dark fantasy that captivated audiences worldwide.Crunchyroll is streaming the anime series in over 200 countries and territories.
The ending song, titled ”idol” by Tatsuya Kitani, accompanies the newly released previews showcasing key moments and characters from the film.
Tatsuki Fujimoto debuted the “Chainsaw Man” manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018. The manga concluded its first part in December 2020 and a second part, titled “Gakkō-hen” (School Arc), began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service in July 2022. The manga has received critical acclaim, winning the Best Manga award at The Harvey Awards for three consecutive years.
A stage play adaptation of the manga ran in Tokyo and Kyoto from September to October 2023.
