“Chained Together” Video Game to be Adapted into a Film
LOS ANGELES, CA - November 19, 2025 – Teh breakout indie cooperative game Chained Together, known for it’s uniquely frustrating and rewarding gameplay, is being adapted into a feature film. News of the project was first reported by Deadline.
Released on Steam on June 19, 2024, Chained together quickly gained popularity, peaking at 94,480 concurrent players within days of launch. The game challenges players to navigate difficult terrain while physically linked to one another, demanding precise coordination and interaction. Its blend of annoyance and elation has resonated wiht players seeking a distinctive multiplayer experiance,drawing comparisons to other popular indie titles like Only Up.
The film adaptation will be directed by Cory Todd Hughes and Adrian Speckert, who currently have four projects in progress, including a movie based on the indie horror game Finding Frankie. While details regarding the story and cast remain undisclosed, the project is currently in its early stages.
