BUCKHANNON,W.Va. – The Central West Virginia Republican Women honored outgoing President LeVera Gillum and installed a new slate of officers at their annual meeting, ensuring continued leadership for the organization’s initiatives in the region. The event, held recently, recognized Gillum’s dedication and paved the way for nina Monroe to lead the group into the 2026-2027 term.
The Central West virginia Republican Women play a vital role in local politics, advocating for conservative principles and fostering community engagement. The transition of leadership signifies a commitment to ongoing efforts in Central West Virginia, impacting local elections, policy discussions, and community outreach. The newly elected officers will build upon Gillum’s legacy, continuing the organization’s work to support Republican values and empower women in the political sphere.
During the meeting, Gillum received a heartfelt tribute from Martin, who stated, “Whenever Republican women gather in Central West Virginia, your name will be spoken with gratitude, your example will be followed, and your seat – though replaced – will always be yours.”
The following officers were elected by acclamation for the 2026-2027 term: Nina Monroe (President), Dr. Brenda Wells (First Vice President), Brenda Wyatt (Second Vice President), Pamela Maxwell, APRN, NHC, FNP-C (Treasurer), and Carlene Wojhan (Secretary). Gillum will serve as Immediate Past President,offering mentorship and support to the incoming team.
