CBN‘s Superbook Expands Reach with New Free Bible App
CBN Animation has launched a new, free Bible app designed to engage children with scripture through a variety of interactive formats, including games and videos. The app, available in 23 languages across over 200 countries and territories, aims to fulfill the promise of Isaiah 55:11 – that “the Word of God does not return void.”
The app allows children aged 6-10 to scroll through the Bible alongside accompanying videos that enhance understanding. It also features a “Biblical Topics” section covering subjects from angels and the Holy Spirit to practical life skills like managing anxiety and anger – a resource also utilized by parents.
CBN leaders believe the app will be a powerful tool for evangelism, complementing the existing Superbook animated series. Ben Edwards, Vice President of CBN International, emphasized the impact they’ve already witnessed globally, stating, “We know it’s going to be effective because we know the content that’s in it is life-changing.” He highlighted the strategic importance of introducing children to the Gospel between the ages of 4 and 14, a period when shaping a Biblical worldview is most impactful.
According to CBN, Superbook is their most effective evangelism tool to date, with numerous children coming to faith in Jesus Christ through the series. This impact extends beyond individual children, with Sandra Anderson, who oversees CBN operations in Latin America, reporting “a multi-generational change across families, across communities” that have engaged with Superbook content.
Anderson connected this outreach to Mark 10,where jesus welcomes children, urging followers not to hinder their access to Him. She believes the app and Superbook together create a pathway for children to connect with God.
paul Richardson, Executive director of CBN Animation, underscored the app’s accessibility, stating the goal is to ”get scripture into the hearts of kids” in engaging ways.
The free Kids Superbook App is available for download and further information can be found at SuperbookKids.com.
