Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little Quit Hit Network Radio Show After Decade
Radio duo Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little will end their nearly 10-year partnership on the Hit Network’s national drive show on December 11.
The On-Air Announcement and Final Broadcast Date
Bickmore confirmed the departure during a live broadcast, telling listeners that the show is coming to an end after a decade on the airwaves. The duo has anchored the afternoon program across every capital city from 3 pm to 6 pm every weekday since January 2017, when they moved across from the Nova network to host the lead-in slot for Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, according to Mumbrella.

During the most recent ratings survey, Carrie and Tommy drew an average audience across the five capital cities of around 125,000 listeners, Mumbrella reported. The program ranked as the third most-listened-to network show on Australian radio, sitting behind Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa in national drive and Christian O’Connell’s Gold breakfast slot in Sydney and Melbourne, according to Mumbrella figures.
Differing Reactions to the Departure
Bickmore expressed gratitude for her time on the program, stating that she loved every minute of working alongside her co-host. It’s not every day you get to come and have a laugh and call it your job with your best mate and the funniest guy in the country, and that’s what we’ve got to do for the last decade,
she said. Little shared that sentiment while adding that the conclusion was not how he wanted the show to end, noting in comments that he would have continued in the role for a long time. Little described it as sad

SCA to Announce Replacement Hosts for Hit Network
Replacement hosts for the Hit Network drive slot are expected to be announced during Southern Cross Austereo’s upfront presentations in Sydney. Meanwhile, industry reports point to potential shifts across competing networks, with Bickmore rumoured to join rival network ARN in 2027. Those departures follow other high-profile network changes, including the end of Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson’s partnership at ARN earlier in the year.
