Cargill provides agricultural, food, financial and industrial products and services to the world. We are a privately held global corporation based in Minnetonka, Minnesota, with operations spanning 70 countries.
This Risk Management analyst position supports Cargill’s agricultural supply chain risk management efforts. The role focuses on analyzing and mitigating risks associated with commodity price fluctuations,basis risk,and counterparty credit risk. The analyst will work closely with traders, merchandisers, and risk managers to develop and implement hedging strategies, monitor market conditions, and ensure compliance with risk policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute hedging strategies using futures, options, and other derivative instruments.
- Monitor market trends and analyse commodity price movements to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- assess counterparty credit risk and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Prepare risk reports and presentations for management.
- Ensure compliance with Cargill’s risk management policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve risk management processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Understanding of commodity markets and risk management principles.
- Excellent dialog and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
