Job Description

Cargill provides agricultural, food, financial and⁤ industrial⁢ products and‍ services to⁢ the world. We are a privately ‌held global corporation based⁢ in Minnetonka, Minnesota, with operations spanning 70 countries.

This Risk Management analyst position supports Cargill’s agricultural supply chain risk management efforts.⁢ The role focuses on analyzing and mitigating risks associated with commodity price fluctuations,basis risk,and counterparty credit risk. The analyst will work closely with traders, merchandisers, and risk ⁣managers to develop and implement hedging strategies, monitor market conditions, ​and ensure compliance with risk policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute hedging ​strategies using futures, options, ⁢and other derivative instruments.
  • Monitor market trends⁤ and analyse commodity price movements ⁢to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • assess counterparty credit ‌risk and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Prepare risk reports and presentations for management.
  • Ensure compliance with Cargill’s risk management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve risk management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, economics, ​Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
  • strong analytical and⁢ quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency ⁤in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of ‌commodity markets and risk management principles.
  • Excellent dialog and interpersonal ​skills.
  • Ability ⁤to work independently and as part of a team.
