Free Heart Health Checks Available Nationwide During “Pink Stamp” Open Week
Rome, Italy - A nationwide initiative offering free cardiological visits and diagnostic tests is underway across Italy, spearheaded by the ONDA ETS foundation. Participating hospitals, identifiable by a distinctive “pink stamp” signifying a commitment to women’s health, are opening their doors for a week of free heart health screenings and information sessions.
The “Open Week,” launched to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases – the leading cause of death in Italy – provides access to services including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and consultations with cardiology specialists.
The initiative focuses on specific pathologies such as abdominal aortic aneurysm, heart infarction, and valve, carotid, and venous diseases. Information points and materials will educate citizens on risk factors, symptoms, and preventative lifestyle choices.
“Cardiovascular health is not only a matter of diagnosis, but of lifestyles,” emphasizes the ONDA ETS Foundation. Prevention through diet, exercise, and smoking cessation remains the most effective defense against thes diseases.
The free services are available now at participating hospitals displaying the “pink stamp.” Further details and a list of participating facilities can be found on the ONDA ETS Foundation website.
